Dedicated home loan provider, New Zealand Home Loans, known for their innovative approach to debt management, has committed to supporting Round The Bridges for the next 3 years as the Principal Sponsor.
Hamilton’s iconic road race is 67 years old this year – the same number of years that Hamilton has had “city” status. What started as a road running race to show case New Zealand’s top athletes at the end of World War II, has evolved to include over 4200 recreational and social runners, walkers, wheelchair athletes, teenagers and children from across Hamilton and the Waikato community.
Delighted at their involvement in the event, Mark Collins, CEO of New Zealand Home Loans expressed, “The great thing is that everyone is doing it – young or old, elite or just starting out. It’s part of our commitment to one another. It’s part of being a Hamiltonian. At New Zealand Home Loans, we’ve helped thousands of Kiwis achieve their financial milestones, and now we want to join with Hamiltonians in achieving a personal milestone at this year’s New Zealand Home Loans Round The Bridges.”
Mark Ingle is General Manager of University of Waikato based event organisers U Leisure. Ingle expressed his delight at the partnership. “It’s good news for Round The Bridges to have New Zealand Home Loans on board for the next three years. Our strategy is to build long term partnerships with sponsors – this secures the event for Hamiltonians and enables us to deliver on plans to grow the event for future generations.” Last year saw the highest growth in numbers among business teams. Ingle expressed, “We’d like to see that grow again this year. We’d also love to see more of our local communities out on the course and more school teams take part, especially our teenagers.”
Hamilton City Council is a strategic partner for New Zealand Home Loans Round The Bridges. Commenting on plans for this year’s event, Hamilton Mayor Julie Hardaker encouraged more people from Hamilton’s communities to get involved. “The event is superbly organised which makes it a great experience for us all. New Zealand Home Loans Round The Bridges celebrates our successes, inspires future generations and encourages participation from all members of our community – it acknowledges Hamilton’s vibrancy.” Hardaker added, “We’ve invested millions into Garden Place – the start and finish line for New Zealand Home Loans Round The Bridges – and it’s great for these improvements to be showcased and utilised by our communities.”
