Organisers Say Register Early for Round the Bridges

New Balance Round the Bridges entrants are being advised by organisers to register early for the event and receive their race number and timing device (transponder) on Saturday 14 November, the day before the event, to avoid delays at registration on the day.

“We expect record numbers to take part in this the 65th year of Round the Bridges and while we have contingencies for this our advice is don’t leave it to the last minute”, says U Leisure event manager Kevin Endres.

Registration will be at SKYCITY Hamilton Conference Centre and participants can park free in the SKYCITY car park off Alma Street FREE for 20 minutes while they register.  Most inner city street parking is also free on weekends.

Registration hours are:
-Saturday 14 November 2pm-6pm – all categories

-Sunday 15 November 7.30am to 8.15am
1km and 2km Trust Waikato Kids Challenge

-Sunday 15 November 7.30am to 9.15am 
12km Legends Run/Walk and 6km Fun Run/Walk

Local businesses are keen to support Round the Bridges and entrants will receive an information brochure at registration which includes discounts and special offers for participants.  “The offers from local businesses mean participants and their supporters can make a day of it and stay in the city for lunch, refreshments and a bit of shopping post the event”, says Kevin.  “It’s a win-win for everyone”.
